The Sun Came Out

 The boy's bounty

It's been a cold, rainy few days and the kiddos were climbing the walls (Kovi, literally). There was a gorgeous break in the weather and while Ever was napping, Woog and I took the opportunity to go for a little walk.
We like to visit Josh the Horse, he lives across the street. And we talk about the weather, the clouds and listen for airplanes and trains. Today, though, was the first time, Woog was interested in picking up the things he found. Stuffing the treasures into his pocket with a chubby little hand he'd tell me, "I need this, Mama. I put it in my pocket, right here."
Cute. Stinkin. Cute, Man.

The kids HEART projects. They routinely ask to have them and it occupies them for close to an hour... UNHEARD of in our house. Today we worked on textiles and gluing. Boy, if anything is a quick cure for a mild case of OCD, it's two Littles and a bottle of Elmer's. We also tried out the Crayola Paint Pal Animals- Boooo. They are NOT self-contained and ARE an outside paint project tool. Ever looked like she'd been drunkenly wielding a machete after she'd finished her project.
After the textiles, the Littles were still asking for "mo prajekt, mama," so we made these adorable little aliens. Aren't egg crates wonderful? The kids made theirs all by themselves. Ever preferred the lick and soak method while Kovi went straight for hole-poking. They turned out pretty adorable.
