Woogy Lovin'
Woog has learned so many new words. Here are a few:
apple, shirt, hat, hot, whoa, uh-oh, oh no, Leah, drink, diaper, up, light, truck, uncle, papa, sister
Kovi's independence has really begun to shine. He goes to the frige when he is thirsty and requests a drink. He knows the bye-bye routine (sit for shoes and hat, then toddling to the truck) He has learned to vocalize his frustrations with the highest pitched screams I have ever heard in my life! Sometimes, I suspect, he does it just to see my eyes cross and my ears fold in fear. Each day is a new adventure in both love AND volume. We love it all (but not the screaming).
Papa and His Grandbabies
Grandma Karyn Comes For A Visit
Grandma Karyn hadn't met Ever yet...so this was a special visit. We spent the week-and-a-half that she was here laughing and playing and shopping. We even got away for an afternoon to splash around at the Greenville Children's Park downtown. Grandma and Kovi had SO much fun eating ice cream and feeding the HUNGRY ducks and pidgeons. Thanks Grandma for spending time with us and we're grateful for our gifts too!
The Lion Says Rrrrrooooar!
An overdue trip to the Greenville Zoo ate up one very hot, very fun day. Grandma Lyn and Papa Jeff along with Ruby and Rylin accompanied us. With icy water bottles and an ice cream stop at the concession stand, we weathered the weather and had a great day.
Kovi has many animal books and we practice the sounds they make, but he was overwhelmed seeing them inperson. His favorite were the elephants (Boom-Bas), lions and alligators. Ruby, who also liked the lions, named the pair Nala and Simba and said, "Nala likes to be called Linda. And they don't have any baby lions because they just got married." :)
After the zoo, Grandma surprised the kids with a sweet little lunch complete with heart-shaped sandwiches. Awwww.
The Little Tykes Outdoor Kitchen
We picked up some new outside toys for The Woog- a shopping cart, a picnic table, a BBQ and an easel. (Hooray Craigslist) One afternoon Ruby and Rylin came over and while I was gardening, they set up the toys to create a little outdoor kitchen/ art room. They had a blast...Rylin even "bbq'd" his hot dog lunch on the grill. Yum Yum!
Rub-A-Dub-Dub
Mama and her babies in the tub...
We take a lot of baths- before bed each night, after a yogurt snack, after a sticky poo (sans toys, sister and mama)... It's relaxing for all of us AND we have so much fun playing pretend. Woog makes an excellent bathtub soup! Currently, he's shown interest in washing himself. He'll jut out his tummy and say "help-aa" to let us know he wants a squirt of baby wash. He swirls the soap all over his tummy then sits down to rinse. He knows what all of the toys in the tub are and he even knows when were done to pick them up and pull the drain!

A Lazy Saturday Morning
Family Day at The Reserves
Grandma Lyn invited everyone to her work (The very gorgeous, very exclusive Reserves). The sprawling neighborhood sits at water's edge of sumputous Lake Keowee. Homes values range from $600k (condo) to fantastic waterfront mansions in the 3 and 4 million range.
We spent the day swimming and eating ice cream.
Fun AND sun was had by all... thanks for inviting us Grandma!
Woogie Ten Toes and His Sidekick Poobert
Uh-Oh and Oh No!
The kids are growing and changing so much...
Ever is already 3 months old. She coos and laughs. She's been holding her head up for a couple of months, but now she pulls herself to a sitting position when laying down. Her legs are growing stronger and she's learned to pull things to her mouth. She's a ham, smiling ALL the time. And SO good. We've been blessed with another mild-tempered, good-natured happy baby.
Kovi is learning new words each day. In fact, he now puts together rudimentary sentences.
"All done, ba-ba."
"Hot, no no."
He uses gestures and words to convey his thoughts as well.
"Good job (clapping)."
He knows what monkeys and ducks say. He has learned what half of his color/object flashcards depict. Pizza is "num-num," soccer ball is "ball."
We're excited to watch our children learn and grow. Even on the exhausting, screamy days... life is good!
