An overdue trip to the Greenville Zoo ate up one very hot, very fun day. Grandma Lyn and Papa Jeff along with Ruby and Rylin accompanied us. With icy water bottles and an ice cream stop at the concession stand, we weathered the weather and had a great day.
Kovi has many animal books and we practice the sounds they make, but he was overwhelmed seeing them inperson. His favorite were the elephants (Boom-Bas), lions and alligators. Ruby, who also liked the lions, named the pair Nala and Simba and said, "Nala likes to be called Linda. And they don't have any baby lions because they just got married." :)
After the zoo, Grandma surprised the kids with a sweet little lunch complete with heart-shaped sandwiches. Awwww.
