We made the obligatory trek to the Christmas Fair. We saw the crafts, sniffed their fare and bought little. Navigating through heavy gift-laden crowds with a super long double stroller requires a Class C license. I don't have one. Though I managed not to knock over displays (I'm getting better!).
We did, however, spend ample (read: most of our) time petting and loving and picture taking with Santa's Danedeer. The Mid Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League was in full "dane adorable" affect. Dogs, roughly the same stature as a Volkswagon, were dressed with donation vests. While most of the mild-mannered giants were full of holiday glee, others were pooped, splayed out on the floor absorbing nearly 263 square feet of the area around them.
The kids loved watching them, Woog especially. At one point, while I quizzed a Dane owner, I caught him trying to share the Big Doggie's bed. While Woog petted and loved on the nearly 200 pounds of paw and fur, I wondered... we have been thinking about a new edition. Big Daddy says, "it's about dane time." :)
