Awww, so sweet, so darling, so entirely edible- But wait... look closer. See those two tiny razors of mass destruction? The nipples have gone into hiding, fearing the agonizing razory chomp from teeth so new, yet to so absolutely pain-inducing. It's the kind of hurt that keeps hurting- even after you've pried open his locked jaws of torture. Poor, poor nipples. The introduction to breastfeeding was bad enough... Now I can actually hear them wimper upon mentioning the words "time to eat." Dun, Dun, Dun....

This is why God made babies so cute, we as mothers are totally taken in by the innocense, beauty and charm our offspring project. However unaware we are of what these tiny "helpless?" beautiful creations can do. They start now inflicting pain so we can get accustom to what lies ahead. And although we hurt, all they have to do is look at us with that baby face and we forget. We forgive, we...rub ointment on the area and do it again.
