The Past Couple of Days

Ever and Kovi had joint drs appts on Monday... my thinking, 2 hours of hellish tag-teaming beats 2 separate visits to the germy waiting room. Kovi was tired- the appt overlapped his naptime. Ever was hungry, but she's always hungry.
Both kids checked out well. The nurses passing by made comments like, "OH, you two have your hands full," and "OH, TWO babies," and "You've figured out what's causing this, right?" Um, yea...we got it now. We're pretty sure it won't happen again unless we want it to.
Kovi weighed in at 24.3 lbs (he's squishy now) and is 31" long. Ever weighed 7.10 lbs (only 2 oz shy of her birth weight- in fact, she packed on an ounce a day since her Wednesday appt because she was permanently attached to my nipple) and is 20.5" long. Dr. Bean told us that Kovi is advanced- we should expect that he'll learn to speak about one new word a week. The doctor also commented that he was one of the most well-behaved, easy going babies he'd ever had. **GLEE** Similarly, he was impressed with Ever's mobility and alertness. We are too...she already turns her head from one side to the other when on her tummy. (I was SHOCKED to see her do that!) She holds her head up for long periods of time and is trying to track.
Kovi did have 4 injections. The first two went well...he sorta made a frowny face at the nurse. The last two, however, hurt him pretty bad. He sprouted huge tears and sucked in a good bit of air, wailing with abandon. He shook with pain and looked at me for solice. I tried to soothe him, but he wouldn't be consoled until the nurse left the room. Upon leaving, he gave her a look as though to say, "You Suck."
We're grateful that the kids are doing so well, are so smart and, especially, happy.
